The tournament bracket system and relating points systems have been carefully redefined to allow for a more interesting way to earn points. The system is designed to be fair to all communities and not allow problems of the previous tournament (match losers actually 'winning' because of a building kill).


Bracket Layout:

Stage 1:

The initial group stage. Communities play each other once and earn points designated by the points system we are using.
Once all games have been played/deadline is reached, final placings will be determined
The top 2 teams in each group will proceed to the second round of competition

Stage 2:

The top ranked member of both sides will play the second ranked member of the opposing side of the table
These 2 matches determine who plays for first, second, third and fourth places

Stage 3:

The winners of stage 2 matches play off agaisnt each other to determine first and second placings.
The losers of stage 2 matches play off to decide third and fourth positions

Points System

Points will be allocated in the following method.
The match winner is awarded 2 points for every map they win.
The match loser is awarded 1 point if they win a map (ie: if the result is 2-1).
1 Bonus/Extra Point is awarded to any team that wins a map by Base Destruction (BD).

P = Played (total number of matches)
W = Matches Won
L = Matches Lost
MW = Maps Won
ML = Maps Lost
MD = Maps Difference
BD = Base Destruction Bonus
Pts = Total number of league points
