A few people have requested to have an exodus Battlefield Bad Company 2 server. It is no problem, we just have to decide on slots and location. Here is one provider.
If you check out the link:

We can host it in a lot of countries around the world, where would you prefer it? Also how many players?

I guess the most logical thing to do is try and get a list of the people that play it with their locations behind their names, but that would require them to post in this topic

How new is this game? If it's compatible with my comp and we start a server I'll buy it ASAP.

The game is 2 months old.
I do have it but i guess i can't vote about the location, my ping skyrockets on servers outside Spain.
And about server i would suggest a 24 players Rush server hardcore.
On normal there's too much 40mm gl spam.

Well here my ping isnt too bad from servers in the UK. I'd suggest doing at least 24 player normal Rush (I think that there are more people playing normal although I can't be sure)

I own this game, but have never played it.
Still, if you get a server running, I'd be game.

Please dont put up a Rush server for this game. It is sooooo straight lined and the M-Coms can be destroyed with mortar strikes and ruins the game. 20 snipers calling in mortar strikes wow what fun. Conquest is the way to go. Hardcore mode is also a bad move. Removes the players reticle, ammo count and the mini-map.
Conquest gives you the option to roam around, up to 5 base spawn points, and up to 3 player spawn points. I hate straihgt lined games. I quit playing fear 1 cuz of this. I bought the collectors edition with the 2 expansions and never played the 2 expansions. Hell I never finished the first part because it was so straight lined and boring.
Now, consider this, every time we host a new game everyone says "I'll play" but it usually ends up being me and 1-2 others carrying the server. Unreal Tournament 3, Quake Live, Team Fortress 2. Hardly anyone else joined these games. If you opt to host a Rush style server it'll probably go unused.
This game is moderately ping dependent. Ping up 180-200 are playable if you learn the lag, just like Renegade.
Minimum:
OS: Windows XP(I run Win7x64 Ult no problems)
Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
Memory: 2GB
Graphics: 256 MB Video Card (GeForce 7800 GT / ATI X1900)
DirectX®: DirectX 9, 10, and 11 support
Hard Drive: 15 GB
Recommended:
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or higher
Memory: 2GB
Graphics: 512 MB Video Card (GeForce GTX 260/ ATI Radeon 4870)
Controller Support: Support for Logitech G15 and G19 keyboard LCDs in multiplayer
This game will cripple your computer if you turn eye-candy up too much.
My rig stock:
i3-540 @3.07 dual-core w/hyperthreading
GTX 460 675 core 1350 shaders 3600 memory
Ram 1333
40-60 FPS
I run BFBC2 like this and my CPU runs at 92-95% and my GPU runs 90-95% (1920x1080 resolution 8xAA 16xAF all settings ultra)
i3-540 @3.7
GTX 460 800 core 1600 shaders 4000 memory
Ram 1600
70-90 FPS
IMO this game requires more CPU than GPU and recommend at least a 2.6Mhz Dual core, 2 gig system ram is a must(54% of 4 gig is used while in game), and an 8800GT or better to enjoy the game.
As far as a server host, in the Uk killer creations have decent dedicated servers and even sponsor the ATF clan. Maybe work out a deal for us too. In the USA whoever the clan Victory Not Vengence uses is a very smooth host.
I live in Ohio USA to start the location list going. LOL!

Vamp I Had a Brink server That was rank in the first 25 servers worldwide in gametracker but the server was stopping randomly 2 time a day,So I was fedup and cancel it.
for the rest of the month renting I change it to BBC2
I set you as Admin in it (same nick as in exo),If you want to test it and use it.Im taking care of the $ for it.
I didn't set a final server name yet If we keep i can change server name to something specific,

If we can use it too advertise Exodus a bit that would work great.

Ok so the server Cudaker has put up is a fully functional Squad Deathmatch server we can all play on. Current name is "Default Name ". So we need to find a new name such as Exodus Community SDM Server or something along those lines. We can use this server to get people interested in Exodus so when we move to BF3 we will be able to fill up a server fairly quickly. Also to show how this server is fairing. We had 6 people join almost immediately. So if we get some regular players of BC2 we can keep it filled up almost all the time.

Not at the moment I don't have BFBC2 for pc at the moment either
I think I'll have the 20 bucks when I get paid tomorrow if I get paid tomorrow. The budget shit has my check up in the air here in the states or at least that's my understanding.
