Hey guys been wondering how to take screenshots but stumped on how to do so unless sreenshots just take themselves lol cause I have a few on my computer in my screnshots folder if I can get any help for this it will be very usefull

how do you put them on here too this is the thing i have trouble with scripts irc this  now i have all that i now need to know how to take and put um here screenshots

You can take screenshots in ren with the 'Print Screen' button, these can be found in your  'Documents\Renegade\Client\Screenshots' folder.

 

As for putting them on here; if you are using the quick reply option to reply to threads you will first wanna click on the button 'More Reply options'. Underneath the area you type your post in you will see a heading 'Attach Files' with a button 'choose files' underneath it. Click it and an explorer like window will pop up where you can browse to your screenshots. Select your screenie and click open.

After it is done uploading the screenie, click somewhere in your post then scroll to the Attach Files area again and click 'add to post' next to your uploaded screenie. Your screenie will be added to wherever your cursor was in your post.

above are the screenshots  that have been took atomaticly without me knowing i never took these i put these into two diffrent posts because whenever I try to put them into the same post it will just come up with rubbish like the dicription of the screenshot rather than the attual screenshot as well I got up at 6:00am in the morning to get this typed

I use renlist, it is a server browser for renegade.

 

To make it work properly you will need to edit the settings

To do this click options then settings, on the General tab click the button with 3 dots and locate your Renegade installation folder > select game.exe as your Renegade executable.

next

click the GSA tab and check the box at the top

Enter your nickname in the text box

click save

 

you are now ready to connect to all GSA renegade servers.

when you launch renlist click on GSA and all available servers will be shown.

 how do I get buddies and keep um

 

To add buddies you need to know their xwis name and send a request (click add buddy), if they accept your request then they will be added to your buddy list. tbh not many people use this feature now

oh ok thanks so much dubstar I now need help for knowing where my renegade exe is I don't know where to find it and what box?

game.exe is located in the renegade folder where you installed scripts 4.x

no.

you only need to input your serial if you wish to view WOL/xwis servers. you do not need to fill out the WOL tab if you do not want to. most/all renegade servers show in GSA mode

i cant find the file i installed the scripts in can you do screenshots and telll me how to do this please dubstar

or if you cant il ask zorid eg if you don't know how to do it

I don't have windows 10

 

after clicking the button with 3 dots a popup box will show, on the left hand side of this box should be your computers hard drive,  check all the folders in program files. you are looking for either EA, westwood or a renegade folder

how do you start you renegade game?  well what ever you click on to run the game, right click it and go to properties,  and look in the Target box.  that will tell you where your renegade folder is
