This is a 4GB level editor, good for larger path find grids.

I should have shared it 5 years ago but I never realized how many large maps were still being made for Renegade.

Oh its the 4.2 LE which means you need special registery things in place, if you upload your old LE here I can expand its memory instead.

LevelEdit is a modding tool

It is used to add objects, objectives and gameplay mechanics to maps created for Renegade.

Examples how to use it can be found here http://renhelp.laeub.../tutorials.html

you can create maps for Renegade with any 3D moddeling program as long as it can import/export westwood 3D models

most people do use gmax & some people use 3D Studio Max 8

you can find a demo version and plugins for it here http://multiplayerfo...egory/77-tools/

ReKoil pointed out that you can create a map using Height Mapping with LevelEdit, If you want to make a map with tunnels and caves then you will need to use another program like gmax or Max Studio 8.

what is it you would like to achieve? maps with bots (single player/co-op) or maps with no bots?

If you want to create missions using bots then I would suggest using a map which has already been created for renegade and get the hang of LevelEdit before jumping in at the deep end.

good luck with your endeavours :)
