The game does get a bit repetitive and is a little low on numbers but sill good fun none-the-less

If you want a game please use my referral below and get your profile up to level 10 :D much appreciated

Just like you I am experiencing computer problems too: overheating is the culprit and it is really annoying, for some strange reason AirMech seems to overheat my computer more than any other game I play & when my computer reaches a certain level it automatically switches off :( basically I can play 3 games in a row then have to wait half an hour to play again ..meh.. It has also messed up my sleeping pattern dramatically tooo 3/4 a.m is not good especially when I gotta be up at 7 lol so it has now been removed and will not see the light of day until I get a new computer. Back to Renegade and trying out games on steam :)

open up your pc case and blow out or clean out all the dust in your pc case, fans and cpu+gpu heatsink. if that doesnt fix the overheating problem, either the video card and/or cpu could be suffering from dried up thermal paste. if that is the case, u will have to remove the heatsink and reapply the thermal paste.

also make sure all the fans are spinning! i had a video card that died because i didnt notice that the fan had failed! a high power video card with no fan dies very fast! poor video card! RIP!

I applied new thermal paste and everything seems ok while playing TF2, computer stays around 60 degrees, my cut off point is 65 degrees.

Wont go back to AirMech until I get a new computer, don't wanna burn this one out lol

I have noticed one of my fans is blowing into the computer so I am going to have to take the PC apart and change that in a sec, hopefully it will help reduce heat, also thinking of keeping the side panel off to allow a bit more air flow

errr change what? before u change things erraneously, u must know that the ideal case fan orientation is ALL intake except ONLY one for exhaust... this has been scientifically proven to be the best case fan setup for best temps on many pc forums...

also, nowadays modern hardware doesnt "burn out" easily except for the video card. they use all polymer capacitors on motherboards these days and those can take the heat much better than the old electrolytic ones. the exception is the gpu which is attached to the video board using solder balls. those strongly dislike heat. keep your gpu under 60-70°C if u want it to last long!

haha, thought we could have a little experiment with you to prove my point when u flipped the fan only to realise it made the pc hotter kekekeke~ :D

anyway, i dont recommend getting a new pc either. most new pcs now come with win10 and considering the grief that rossnisbe had to go through to get ren working on his win10, getting a new pc isnt the best idea. your pc is only a couple of years old at the most iirc, so its still "current". considering the overheating only occurs on one game, i think its more like a software flaw with only that game rather than your entire pc...

Personally I would have stuck with XP but many new games require Vista or above because of the new architecture and DirectX etc.

Vista is a definite nono for me and so is Windows 10... I have read many negative things about Windows 10, one of the main concerns is that Windows 10 is setup (by default) to transfer all your personal data through Microsoft servers which can be easily accessed (WiFi passwords, addresses, contacts, bank details etc) everything goes through the Microsoft servers unless you disable it manually :(

Many people have recommended Windows 7 for gaming so that is what I will put on any new computer ;) I did read that support for it will end soon but I imagine it will still be a decent gaming platform for many years :fingers crossed:

win7 is supported until 2020. here is the link from m$. so u have 4 more years of play to squeeze out of it before it becomes a security hellhole. at that time, u would have gotten another pc again anyway... lol
