That. And, it's fun as fuck, a lot of bang for your buck. Valve updates its games quite a lot with new features.you can eat sandvich

What I like about the game:
The graphics - colourful, but not bright. Eclectic yet fit perfectly.
The maps - A definite "Wild West" feel, unintentionally. Lots of sandstone mountainous textures make up the majority of surfaces that aren't buildings, which I love.. It's simple.
The weapons - I enjoy the stock weapons and their abilities, what I really like more is that they released MORE weapons. Similar to the stock ones, for example the flamethrower received an upgrade version: The backburner. The stock flamethrower is what it is PLUS it has the ability to air blast opponents, or deflect rocket fire. The backburner is unable to deflect rockets or air blast opponents away, but get up close BEHIND someone and fire for maximum damage. If you aren't following: I like how they released more weapons, but the balance effectively stayed the same... the new weapons lack features the stock ones keep, but bring an additional function.
The characters - Several reasons: Each has hilarious dialogue, each can perform 3 or more hilarious taunts and they've REALLY gotten deep into the characters just by the dialogue alone, it's believable and you never think "This is phony and shit, as if he'd say that".
The price - Speaks for itself
The Everything.

I highly recommend paying $10 extra to get The Orange Box. This is the best deal out there and comes with literally 4 award winning games for $30 US dollars. (TF2, Portal, Half Life 2, + Episodes)

If you haven't played hl2 and all the episodes it def worth getting orange box.
